Melior, Inc. announces William C. Helmbrecht III as CFO
Dallas, May 24, 2004 ---- Melior, Inc. is pleased to announce that William C. Helmbrecht, III has joined Melior, Inc. as its Chief Financial Officer and brings over 25 years of financial management expertise to the Company. Prior to joining Melior, Mr. Helmbrecht served as the Chief Financial Officer of a highly profitable privately held company engaged in the manufacture and distribution of consumer products in the United States and 26 other countries around the world. In his capacity as CFO, Mr. Helmbrecht managed all aspects of the corporate financial function for three separate but related corporate entities.
Mr. Helmbrecht began his career with Price Waterhouse & Co. At Price Waterhouse, Mr. Helmbrecht was selected to participate in an international management development program and was assigned to the Stuttgart, Germany office of Price Waterhouse. There he managed the audits of several major US-based clients in the computer and automotive manufacturing sectors.
Mr. Helmbrecht has also acted as the Financial Manager of a privately held Merchant Banking organization in Dallas, Texas. There he managed the financial functioning of a $200 million investment partnership that acquired controlling interests in various operating companies or sponsored new ventures by providing initial funding, capital planning and management guidance. In addition, Mr. Helmbrecht served on the Board of Directors and as a member of management of several of the Merchant Bank’s portfolio companies.
Mr. Helmbrecht’s other career experience includes a the financial management of seven real estate partnerships engaged in the development and construction of residential real estate in urban locations surrounding downtown Dallas. He has also served as the CFO of another privately held investment company engaged in the acquisition and operation of manufacturing and productive assets being spun off from publicly held companies.
Mr. Helmbrecht received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and holds his Masters in Business Administration from Columbia University, New York. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of CPAs. He has also graduated from Six Sigma Black-Belt training.
