MCI Canada tests Barbican RNP
Montreal, Canada, and Dallas, Texas, April 28, 2005 --- MCI Canada concludes Barbican RNP product evaluation.
Upon completion of a six-week, extensive product evaluation of the Barbican RNP dDoS and PenTest Defense Product at the MCI telecom technical laboratory in Montreal, Canada, Melior perceives the result as very encouraging towards the companies' efforts to develop critical security appliances: "A big Thanks for the glimpse into the future".
"Besides US/EU/NATO government agencies and Fortune 1000 enterprises, large Internet Service Providers (ISPs) around the world are definitely one of our larger target markets. MCI in particular, with its extensive offerings of add-on security services customized for the individual needs of their customers, provides us with valuable insights for improvements during the critical phase of field tests of initial prototypes", Mr. Thomas J. Ackermann, Melior's CEO, is quoted. "While some fine-tuning issues and packaging options for commercial viability remain to be finished, tests like these give us the opportunities of 'real-life' environments beyond our own and partner testing capabilities, and allow us to customize the product to the needs of our customers."
Melior Inc. CyberWarfare Defense ('melior' is Latin and means 'better') is a privately held US company, developing new network and application security technology with an initial focus to defend against Penetration Testing and distributed Denial-of-Service (dDoS) attacks, and subsequently applying this technology to the defense against Spam (UCE) and Virii/Trojans/Worms, essentially providing a new security layer: CyberWarfare Defense.
Melior, Inc. contributes actively in anti-Crime and anti-Terrorism efforts with Goverment agencies in the United States, in the European Union, and NATO member countries.
